Process name: Microsoft Windows Volume Control
sndvol32.exe is the executable for the Microsoft Windows Volume Control process, which comes with all 32bit versions of Windows to-date. This utility allows you to change the volume of your audio channels on your computer (e.g. Main Volume, Line-in, CD-in). This is accessible by default from the system tray bar. This program is a non-essential system process, but should not be terminated unless suspected to be causing problems.
Recommendation
sndvol32.exe should not be disabled as it is required for essential applications to function properly.
